Background: The concept behind the "Sparkle App" emerged from classic manifestation techniques, where individuals visualize and attract their desires into reality through positive thinking and intention setting. Inspired by how people often describe manifesting their dreams as similar to ordering something online, the idea for the app was born. This concept aimed to bridge the gap between traditional manifestation practices and modern digital experiences, offering users a fun and interactive platform to manifest their goals and aspirations effectively.

Goal: To seamlessly blend elements of retro internet culture with modern functionality, leveraging custom hand-drawn pixel images, vibrant colors, and dynamic CSS animations. By integrating these elements with cutting-edge technologies like Figma, JavaScript, and React, the aim was to create an engaging and visually captivating user experience that not only pays homage to the early internet aesthetic but also elevates the manifestation journey for users, making it more accessible and enjoyable.

Design Elements

I wanted Sparkle App to be fun and feature a unique design aesthetic characterized by hand-drawn pixel art and a vibrant color palette. The use of pixel art adds a nostalgic charm to the app, reminiscent of classic video games and early internet graphics. This design choice not only evokes a sense of nostalgia but also enhances the visual appeal with its intricate details and playful style.

The bright color palette used in the app further contributes to its engaging and lively atmosphere. Bold and energetic colors are strategically incorporated to create contrast, highlight important elements, and evoke positive emotions.
